What's so good about Atlanta you ask!!!!

The ratio of women to men.

    30 for every 1 man.

    Yes, true. No SSSHHIITT!!!!

question for posters who listed SF....

what are your reasons for this particular selection?

I WENT THERE ONCE AND IT WAS REAL PRETTY.

I can see this city. Liberal/Multi-Culti/Lifestyle Tolerance. I was there as a kid and liked the "feel" of SF.
But I heard the cost of living is crazy.

So transvestites count as women now?

  • TIE: CHICAGO AND BOSTON.

    Some kind of joke?

Well, I've been to each once and I had six cities so I had to make a tie somewhere. I'll let the Midwesterners and EastCoasters break the tie....

Based on sports teams though, Chicago all the way.

    everybody hates Boston

I know it's got some very lame aspects, but I've
lived here my whole life and like it. I will admit that
it was 10,000x cooler before the 1990's, when every decent
indy cafe, bookstore & movie theater was transformed into a
Starbucks, Barnes & Noble & sports bar. There were at least
10 more record stores around here 10 years ago, too.

Okay, so maybe Boston does suck now, after all.

But one thing is for sure:

Based on sports teams though, Chicago BEANTOWN all the way.

Oh, and having said that, Chicago is my favorite city I visited.
Reminded me of Boston circa 1986

Chicago is getting a lot of love. Por que? I'm a little desensitized to the Windy City.

    I'm not very well-traveled either.

Top U.S. cities I've been not including the home town:

1.) Memphis (for the food and southern-but-not-too-southern vibe)
2.) Houston (probably due to the nice family and nice hotel I stayed-- the Houstonian-- though I imagine I'd feel real at home in Austin)
3.) New Orleans (before the storm): most unique

    Love Portland, ME.

Also, I'll add Saratoga Springs, NY to my list; more of a town most of the year, but definite big city feel for part of the year.

    Astoria, Oregon

    Cities please!
Like at least a population of 100,00, a downtown with skyscrapers etc!
Astoria is quaint, a term that should only be reserved for towns.
