    some cool stories in here:

"Few movie soundtrack composers are perennially contemporary household names, but New York-born Jewish musician Bernard Herrmann, whose June 29 centenary is being celebrated with a year of CD releases and live concerts from Minnesota to Bristol, England, is a noteworthy exception."

    Appreciate this guy batches!

-RD Burman[/b] scored more soundtracks and did it in a more diverse fashion than anyone EVAR! Cmon, dudes got 808 tunes, rapping, him scatting and gargling on a song, whip crack as percussion, more experimental and genius than headz will ever know!

    Watched Chinatown again last night.
That Jerry Goldsmith is a motherfucker.
Music is so beautiful and haunting and adds so much to the movie.

Apparently the original score was scraped, they called Goldsmith at the last minute and he got them a score in 10 days. Or some such story.

The 2 Our Man Flint movies, the Planet Of The Apes movies, LA Confidential, Man from UNCLE...

Maybe not GOAT, but right up there for me.

Heart of Glass and Nosferatu also have really great soundtracks.

The Great Ecstasy of the Woodcarver Steiner is maybe my favorite, but I don't think the music was ever released.

video is out of sync, but still:
