was that real crying at the end of the first part when he mentions his friend bruce? things were going smooth, calls everyone a c*nt, talks about punks vs. northern soul blokes, then it sounds like he breaks up. this guy is the real deal. thanks for the interview danno.
Keb was talkign abit bein' boen in inverness. he also spoke abit spinnin' graphite loons at wigan casino, travellin' tae japan, an' tryin' tae ride mony kimmers. He also spoke oan th' death ay his mukker bruce, hoo he was buyin' black graphite loons at 10 fur a poond, an' hoo th' northern sool scene cam abit. He also said hoo he fancied japanese womwn, an' hoo he was an expert in tae kwon dae an' jiggin. His tak' oan th' raur groove record scene was a bampot, an' 'at th' state ay today's rhythm an' blues an' hip hop is sad.
some truly great quotes in this, perhaps my favorite being
"I though you liked fucking soul music, ya cunt".....
My favorite is:
"I did that thing compilation with RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan, who was a complete fucking idiot. Lies to his backteeth about kung-fu. He knows nothing about it"
The song Keb plays around 23.20 in part two is absolutly
Damn! I need to know what that song is called! killer shit!
sam fletcher - i'd think it over twice
love that track.
one of the best interviews ever. keb is an amazing storyteller. listened to the first two parts on a drive to nyc on fri and it made the drive way quicker. looking forward to part 3. just watch it or you'll be calling everyone fookin cunts for a while after.
Only time I ever sold him a record, Harvey & the Phenomenals 45 on Da-Wood, the only copy I'd ever seen and it was his 3rd reserve back-up copy.
My mind was blown in a record nerd kind of way.

very nice!
Finally had time to sit down and listen to this, and I think it deserves a bump. This interview is hillarious, poignant, and informative.
