How are the "GHETTO REALITY"? And the Gospel one on the right...?
Ghetto Reality is one of the most amazing kid's rcords I've head.
Gospel one is good. really raw live testifyin' type stuff. not funky. Sufi Ceremony & Islamic Liturgy are both chanting records. Good if you like that stuff (I do)
Thanks for your answer.
Can you one of 'em...? Ya know... Maybe the "GHETTO REALITY"...?
I'm down with Folkways and all, but I think I would rather drink a quart of Murphy's Oil Soap(??) than listen to an entire LP of "Interviews with Phil Ochs"

Not sure if this the exact one you're referring to, but this is the one they usually talk about:

I have to admit, I'm not that up on Ochs, so I may not realize what I'm missing.
The crack was based on having heard way too many radio interviews with Folk singers - a short but dull story involving an old job and a boss with dictatorial radio control, and how those folkies would make the clock just crawl...
Is it good because it's humorous, or because he gets mad deep?
