Also love his work on Stanley Turrentine's Sugar Man LP (really underated and hatted on LP) and Esther Phillips' Alone Again Naturally.
"Tell it like it is". Period.
yeah you'll keep your eyes open and then take it while we're diggin....LOL
got it!
definitely. "My Woman's Good to Me" is my fave....
...and also a good call on the
altho my favorite on there is the "Use Me" cover, but I don't even know if GB's on that cut.
that album is underrated cause even if it was from 77 or 78, he still didn't make the compleate transition on mainstraim-pop material and you can find some good playing (along with Ronnie Foster keys)
on that live album the guy singing sounds a lot like Donny Hathaway
Wouldn't "the guy singing" be George Benson himself???
That's him. ahahhah!!!!
I love his voice.

My dentist LOVES White Rabbit....he turns that shit up when it comes on.
lucky! my dentist plays me Albert Ayler.
I like how this sounds like a Mongo Santamaria LP because of Marty Sheller's production and arranging. It's basically a CTI jazz boogaloo record.
Yikes! Your dentist sounds like Steve Martin's character in "Little Shop Of Horrors". I mean, I like me some Albert Ayler, but not while I'm getting my teeth pulled out
My local store just gave this to me when I tried to buy it the other day. 1 love to WT Denver.
fuck english language, I meant Benson (himself) 's singing.......
in other words : ..la sua voce ricorda molto D. H. ,
that would sound better right ?
co-sign maybe the first record i bought when i started to get into digging.
Aahh!!! Italian?
