thanks to Funky Flatulence..just burned this this morning

I'm talking about actual DJ mixtapes without yelling over tracks. Mixtapes with actual blending and cutting of records not albums that call themselves mixtapes to promote up an coming homies.

  • These days DJ pyrotechnics are a niche appeal type of thing.

Not looking for mixtapes with breaks at the moment cause I got the Paul Nice and DJ Revolution CDs to hold me over on the breaks side. Now I'm looking for dope Hiphop selections on a mix Cd.

And so is the BLEND-A-PELLA CD, by the way.

I was referring to a certain individual who requested a mix that was quirky and conceptual...

Hmmm...possibly the same certain individual who has spent a good year telling me, "You should make a Gangstarr mixtape!"

    Oh yeah...Blendapella!

  • from Gang Starr to Messy Marv in a hop-skip-and-a-drink...

Not personally. I know people, who know people, who know people..nah mean?
Disorda hooked up a mate with it & they are now distributing it down here.
I reviewed for next issue. It's exactly what the dude was asking for, but probably won't check for it because it's British made. Shame.

Just glad someone knows what i was talking about.
Brighton is the business... Much respect.
    Will check out your site..

  • Yo, I have to plug my man, Mista Donut's mixes...

Straight dope from Japan, and nice on the cut.

New mix is "Sound Contact #5, Turntablism Revenge", on Subcontact. If you like scratching, than theres dope stuff from Japanese DJ's in-between some real nice hip-hop. You can get it off HMV Japan.

Also nice are his other Soundcontact mixes... often they have a nice little gimmick too, like soundcontact #3 where the tape case looks like an iBook, and when you open the case, the track-listing looks like i
    Tunes. https://ssl12.secureserver.jp/~nylon/records/store_details.html?code=00003485
