Just heard the version with Carmen McRae. I think it was still Dave Brubeck. Are there any other versions out there?

Paul Kuhn, Keith Mansfield
BTW: the intro on the Brubeck / McCrae album is awesome: "When i was young... the world was so gay.."
HA ha.. yeah..
Thx for the quick replies guys. A couple I now remember, but I'll be on the search for the rest.

*Brainwave!
Dope cover art.
First track, The Big Ripoff, is a dope interpretation. (Sorry, .ram only)
There's another Paul Desmond version on that A&M 1975 live album that I think is great, with a cool kinda "middle eastern" vibe to it.
I think the Soulful Strings did a version, maybe on the Paint It Black lp?
yes.
It not a cover, more a tribute. Not sure if its in 4/7 time tho.
If you're intersted in a trade PM me.
K in Canada.
Shirley there must be ruffer latin versions out there ?
ozzie hall?
K.
Whats good about the Kuhn? MPS?
really nice one...tough as nails.
off-topic recent Willie Mitchell story...I was in the parking lot of my girl's work waiting for her to pick up her check and I saw Lawrence Mitchell, Willie's son, get out of the car next to me, I went to high school with him and I havent seen him since High School, he waved and came over to shake hands and say whats up and as soon as he got up to my car, one of his pop's tunes(a Joe L 45) popped up on the CD I was listening to...cosmic.
No it??s an advertising album and it??s the only track that??s interesting.
It has a pretty eye-catching cover artwork because of them using green all over the front.
Good about that version is a long drumming solo in the middle, no real open break but great to chop up if you go for samples!
As I have had this always in bigger quantities I sold it at 10,- EURO the least but that was at a time when noone was aware of it.

This one's strange in that it's actually in 4/4 time.
The Sugar Minott's Sufferer's Choice album versions it on Have You Ever Found a Love Like This.
It's one of my favorite Sugar Minott songs. Sometimes I'll listen to it just for the part 2/3 of the way through where he starts layering up the voice and harmonizing with himself.
I don't know if this link will work, but-> here's a possible link to a Windows Media Clip
