I seem to recall his star rising around the time he shook off "hatters" while looking for the Power of Zeus. Shortly to follow was Raj's "themack is on vacation" post - which concerned his habit of "hollering at" records without (they alleged) ever intending to follow through with a "big dude style" trades.
But, what I believe has really kept themack beloved by all is the grace with which he handles these "scrapes". And, that he is never at a loss for highly entertaining & quotable "mackisms", if you will. In short, he is the whole package. (AYO!)
I remember I had been away from the strut for about 6 months, I was surprised to see everyone was not still bagging on The_Mack. I think his rise to power has been one derived from putting up with the constant heckling.
