page 5.....I retracted my tommy boy claim as it was owned by WB which is under Atlantic.
I dont think a lot of people read through all the way. I suggested pickwick and k-tel as a joke and nobody noticed. I also suggested Sun as well...all three mentioned after.
One that I almost took way back at the beginning but still hasn't been claimed is MGM - with MGM you get all the following subsidiaries:
Verve(!) Cub Lion Metro Metro Jazz MGM South American International Records (AIR) Together Records L&R Records Amaret Ava Barnaby Cameo/Parkway(!) CoBurt Heritage Hickory Kama Sutra Lionel Mine Poppy Pride(!) Stormy Forest Sunflower Griffin MGM/Latino Attarack BBC Charter Flick Disc Jolly Rogers Lamb & Lion Lyra Marina Merlin Music Factory Palette Quad Ramrod Sounds of Memphis Vando
Okay, then if we're about to head into scraps territory, I will take Somerset and Alshire, so I can finally complete my 101 Strings discography and all of the odd and bizarre variations within.
With all of those strings, and the potential for samples, I can bootleg it and call it the Ways To Sound Like The RZA Without The Wo Wo Matter Of Speak[/b] series.
this exercise proves that there are a bajillion labels out there, as there are so many good ones still up for grabs...
cotique & fondle 'em spring to mind as two that i would be interested in. then, you still have all the microlabels that put out like 3 45s, one of which is UBERAER.
There are so many punk/indie/dance/electronic labels people haven't touched yet either...
SST Dischord Epitaph Alternative Tentacles Gravity Slap-a-ham Twin-Tone Beggars Banquet 4AD Factory Rough Trade Cherry Red Stiff Metalheadz Ninjatune Good Looking/Looking Good Full Cycle
and I'm sure a hundred others. Fun game to play though, isn't it?

Go back a few pages - I had Stiff on my wish list (although I'd sell Tracy Ullman straight up).
Thanks,

INDEED
Probably RCA if I could only choose one.
I'll take that catalog which includes minty doubles of Arthur Verocai and tons of other Brazilian gems. Thanks.
