Anybody ever seen this?

Shit is OOP and I dont see Netflix conjuring this up in the near future.
Im tempted to cop a VHS version. I recall seeing bits and pieces on HBO way back in the day.

I really wanna see dirty "singles bar scene" steez and Tuesday Weld.

Will it hold up in '11? And how's the Soundtrack....regular disco-pop?

    I've seen it a couple of times on TV. I was too young the first time and it was not pleasant or fun like when you see sexy shit you know you're not supposed to be watching at a young age (like racy late-night Italian comedies).
    It's worth watching....I would say it is so its own thing that whether it holds up doesn't really factor.

    It is grim.

    But both are definitely products/commentaries on social waves of their times.

    I read the book when it came out. Don't remember much. About the same time as Fear Of Flying.

    Its does get cool points for some single bar/disco footage and a lens on 70's fuckin', but its not all that.

    Gere was wack, and most of the other men are annoying.

    I liked the deaf teacher interactions alot. It made me feel for the main character.

    Above average soundtrack.

    Cool points for not being a "im looking to get married & man aint shit" perspective.

    Dont know why Tuesday Weld got a nomination.

    I doubt this ever gets re-released w/ its grim finale and overall portrayal of that era.

    Very similar to Pacino's Crusin', but that flick had real dirty NYC footage.
