finally had a chance to give it a few listens all the way through last week. it's great. i hadn't taken much notice of dude before but he's a really interesting storyteller.

Junior, Sr (MIA) was/is a big fan of Pluto, not sure how he feels about Future's entire oeuvre up to now.
I can't stand that whole nasal whiny autotune sound he favours, especially for a whole song.
I do like Same Damn Time in all its ridiculousness (and that it's closer to his 'regular' voice).
And Parachute is one of the best stripper songs out there.
He's fine as a feature, not as the main attraction imo.
yeah, i wasn't into Pluto overall, and i generally HATE the autotune game these days (and yes, hate is a strong word). but i feel like he comes up with something totally singular every once in a while that i can't help but love.

Only thing keeping me from being all about that Freddie Gibbs is that I just picked up a copy of Ghostface's 12 Reasons to Die and that shit is downright incredible. Very happy rap consumer right here.

you prefer the Adrian Younge to the Apollo Brown?
So far I've only heard the Apollo Brown preview and not the whole tape. I'm interested in hearing the whole thing, but it's hard for me to imagine liking it more than the AY version.
New Meyhem Lauren and Buckwild project is f*cking heat - there's a limited vinyl pressing available too at chopped herring records
esp. feeling the tune 'Love and Loyalty' - check it out
Also feeling the DITC remix project. That record / lp was so horribly mastered or something bitd that it was basically unplayable - and these reimaginings of the beats are all on point, lyrics and delivery still sound fresh to me. Especially enjoy the primo show and a remix - also available on ltd vinyl via slice of spice records by the way
a lot of people say preem is over - his sound is old and shit - fuck those people. Ill keep bumping this type of shit at each and every opportunity 'till the casket drop'
Went to see A$AP Ferg Friday night in Toronto. Show was really good and crowd was obviously hard core fans - so really rowdy and into it. I even found myself bouncing and moshing around like I was 20 again.
But I just can't get into dude's album at all. Outside of a club, with a huge system, and a hyped crowd dancing along, I find a lot of trap music to lack a lot of energy because of the slow tempos. Maybe I'm just old.
I am just a dirt poor digger looking for the perfect beat
I wear mad socks to keep the sweat from off my feet
if you have beef no matter
Im like johnny cage yo feel my rage guess my age
hidden physchos
talking heads tshirts when I troll these
record conventions
super invention mad sick intentions I plastic bag all my records
nerds be stupendous your vocabulary is horrendous
your girl she relentless
sorry batmon mad jamican super hero
I would like to be octo but I got five jobs
and another on the way
Im a slave to punanny
discreet and pretencious obiquitious and direct
smoke those e cigarettes if you got them.....
Macklemore gave you a shout out? Is your family even Jamaican?
His July 4 song is...there's jut no words.
He's like the Robin Thicke of pop rap - no self-awareness of his terribleness.

Can't embed it from here. It's pretty tight, and the video is good too.

Ha, my best listens so far have been on headphones at bedtime.

Some goofy bits throughout but production is very very nice. Summer 2014 listening.

Liking this more than I thought I would. Have to keep listening. Like the production better than his flow, etc. right now.
*sets this down, gently*

Me likes.
Yes. Jahlil Beats has been killing it for a minute and a half - weird he hasn't gotten more shine up to now.
