I think I got that for a minute, too, until I figured out that what I initially thought were page borders of endlessly flowing fabric were in fact confusingly cropped edge-to-edge photos of a stuffed closet.

Also, the intro alone misspells "Wintour" and "ado." They might need to get some well-dressed English faculty up in there.

Not trying to threadjack but couldn't find the other thread where there was a brief discussion on monocles and, here it is, the New York Times trend story: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/06/fashion/the-monocle-returns-as-a-fashion-accessory.html?nl=style&emc=edit_cl_20140305&_r=0

The demure and slightly curdled Simone de Beauvoir aspirant who worked at local used book store/down-low record goldmine O'Gara & Wilson used to occasionally wear a monocle while doing internet shit from atop her high stool, avoiding eye contact and pretending like that wasn't her buying Funyuns over at Harper Foods.

I still see her around from time to time, but sans monocle.

How about seemingly cool dudes talking about tv soap operas like secretaries in the break room?

Not sure if that's the case. Seems to me like the site asked to profile him. I'd be flattered/honored if asked. Not defending the guy either, I honestly don't think I ever conversed with him on here, I just remember his name.

Basically, alls I'm saying is...Can he live?!

Not really. When he agreed to do such an awkward spread, he asked for any ribbing he gets.

I've said nothing about the guy in question. But it's true, put yourself out there and face the wrath. That's nothing new.

i know it's not new. i was also referring to the hemol thread which i have to say is the most brutal and thorough mass clowning i have ever witnessed in my 10 years here. but that was definitely coming after what he posted.
