It perhaps veers more towards the jazz side of things, and might be a too much of a dancer if you're looking for that urbane, sophisticated bossa sound, but whatever, it's still bossa nova to my ears.
Great Orlann Divo LP. I have the other two and missed an opportunity to get this one about 8 years back. Regret it. Somewhere I read that Jorge Ben took his early singing style from Orlann. I think this is what they call Balanco.
Was just browsing the bossa listings on eBay and was disappointed at how many sellers neglect putting up soundclips. Luckily there are a couple of good Brazilian sellers who put up multiple ones per listing, so I bought from them.
It would be awesome if it was authentic. I didn't realize that Far Out was dipping into the Nilser catalog.
When I saw it the first time I thought it was some new type of stereo, like the ones they would put in the covers - New Kaleidoscopic Stereo,
or any sh!t like that.

Weird! They replaced Nilser's name in the cover for Far Out Stereo. NAGL.
