    My sneaky ass brother stole my minty copy of Gloria Scott's "What Am I Gonna Do" LP.

    The story: When I was away from home, I was having records sent to my mom's house. He sniffed 'em out and Gloria Scott was amongst all the records. When I came home, I was looking for that record and lo and behold, it's missing. I'm asking this dickface where it's at, and he's looking at me like I just landed from Pluto. After taking a deep breath, I continued packing up my records.
    Later on after looking at a list of records that I bought, I realized that more records were missing!

    I had my Big Daddy mixtape stolen from me by shady ass brother. The mixtape was a funk 45 mix, which I didn't even get a chance to listen to.

    And only know I lost it, because the one day in 5 years that I wanted to throw on Roundabout, I couldn't.

    I had someone steal a copy of Gran Am "Get High" from me about 5 years ago at a show. Who ever it was knew what they wanted cause they dug through my 45 box and only took that one. Buster. I got another one though.

    Never got either record, or a dime of my $$$ back.

    Still haven't found either album anywhere else, either...and I need that Bobby Moore.

    When I was 20 my roomate and some fuckheads dipped out of town with all my punk, reggae and rap albums/12s/7's I had collected from 1985-1990. And my bass, and my cannondale bike, etc.

    in total, about 500-1000 records that I really dug.

    Plenty of rackords M.I.A., Stanley Cowell 'Illusion Suite' was one that went missing for years, until I had to get another copy. I haven't seen my Jonzun Crew album for 7 years. Still got the cover. Right now I'm looking all over for Banda Black Rio 'Gafeira Universal'. I just bought it a couple of months ago, damnit!!

    I'm missing a Wess and the Airedales "Super Wess". I don't know if it was stolen from me or if it's just missing in my own crates, or if I left it at someone's house, but I can't find it anywhere.

    i've cried once in my life over the loss of my possessions. when i was 16 i left my entire cd collection (200+) on top of the car upon pulling out of the car warsh.

    after maturing several years, my tears turned to physical repulsion. i felt like i was going to puke and/or faint when...

    my computer crashed and i lost all of my music files & the hours of work i put into converting records -> mp3.

    i moved (2 weeks ago) and realized a large box (80+) records of my rock music was missing. all my who. all my stones. all my turtles. all my bowie. all my hall & oates. all my beatles -- i was close to collecting every one of their albums. all my rock music. i am still in mourning.[/b]
    my sayer is still around. seriously.

    this is a very sad thread.

    i lost a friend of mineses record and i still feel bad about it.

    it was this weird real white group from philly...the S---a brothers LP
    so in the middle of one of these songs there is a sick breakdown where every instrument gets some. i dont even remember honestly. i was like, "yo, this is coming to my house for a couple days. step back" I put it in my bookbag and then it was never to be seen again. by me, or my hommie or anyone....i scoured his house, my house, to no avail. wack. never seen mentioin of it since. maybe it was all a dream

    Some mix records I bought on a trip to New York around 1990...they were in the back of a friends car when it got written off in a crash. friend was ok, rackords fatally injured...only one I remember was some low-rent production by 3 Turntables, Two Tape Decks and a DAT...b-boy stuff like Apache mixed in with porn dialogue and some chugging funky sounds, corny but fun...would love to find that again.


    Other than that movers stole/lost 4 boxes of records in a move a few years ago.
