^^ Ha... bored at work.. Sold many Atmosphere albums today?
Nah, thats my fave Bro Johnson's LP & not because it has 'Stomp' on it. QJ did a fair amount of their stuff. Probably most well know for their version of Shuggie Otis's 'Strawberry Love Letter' & obviously 'Stomp'.
Yeah thats all thats selling... Reminds me of a punk album the whole package, with the cover and the energy of the tracks. Thanks for all the help i've got some research to do now! ha ha
Glenn Jones - Everybody Loves A Winner EP (RCA 1983) "I Am Somebody" Keni Burke - Changes (RCA 1982) "Hang Tight" Norman Connors - Mr. C (Arista 1981) "Keep Doin' It" Shadow - Shadows In The Streets (Elektra 1981) "Born To Hustle" Rene & Angela - Wall To Wall (Capitol 1981) "Secret Rendezvous"
Stuff like this... new soulful boogie funky stuff... blurry genre blending maybe... but still dope... We just needed a two worded phrase... Ha!
SIDEWINDER - Open Source [FENETIK] DWAINE HAYDEN - Mr Cupid [RADA] BAKURA - Play the Game [ESPECIAL] BRIGETTE - Star [EXPANSION] VICTOR DAVIES - Fire [AUDIOPHARM] DUTCH RHYTHM COMBO - Venom ft Joe Dukie [PULVER] JAGUAR - That's Your Problem [FREESTYLE] BREAK REFORM - Ghosts (Watch TV remix) [LOVE MONK] EVERYDAY PEOPLE - Shake it Off [EXPANSION]
^^^ Yeah, but they've been used already... Some of us wankers need to express ourselves with artistic flair every once in a while. Saying 'Nice Songs' just doesn't really hit the spot for me...
I did want to write, 'Totally Def n' Stupid Dope' but the fellas thought I was trippin' over my fat laces again.
Going through my records looking for boogie/disco shit for the radio gig tonight, I pulled out this one, which I had picked up in a pile of 80's stuff at a thrift store and never got around to playing:
Nice boogie shit on South Bay Records from '82. James Gadson on drums, David T. Walker on guitar supplying the organic sounds over the slap bass and synths...couple of heaters on here, maybe just a few too many ballads. If you see it cheap, cop it. "Make Room at the Top" smokes and has a dope beat.

"Godess of the Boogie"
The three albums are really good.
