Hey Whats up guys just wondering if you can school me in some 80"s boogie tracks.I really like stuff like the Kay-Gees, BT Express, Brass construction, Heatwave and the like. I having been buying up any disco redits i can finds stuff like the UBs put out and am despertately trying to find other groups and artists out there.Thanks for the helppeace

    What's up? I could start a HUGE LONG LIST but a lot of the stuff may be difficult to find. Where do you live? Are you on Soulseek? If not, you need to get on Soulseek. First thing you need to do right away is get Jake One's AR Music mix CDs volume 1-4. You will love these. You can order them here:

    I was really into this style before I got more into funk and jazz (still like it though), too many favorites come to mind, best track in the genre though in my opinion:
    Universal Robot Band - Barely Breaking Even

    Some other favs:

    ha! never that.. the convo usually degrades into dividing boogie into 10 new subcategories and someone saying, 'that's not boogie, that's more like modern disco'

    Sorry for not introducing myself. Im 26 and from sydney Australia. I have a bit of a problem with collecting records(can't stop).I work in a hip hop record store in sydney. I enjoy diggin and have now found myself obsessed with disco boogie, funk and jazz. currently trying to work out how my mpc2000 works.

    I got a couple of brother johnston records not feelin em much.
    Too cheesy disco funk, very rocky.
    Havn't seen that one around are they all quincy jones produced?
