I've really met a lot of Strutters IRL, too many for me to count. A really nice consequence of my job for sure. And everyone that I've met has been super cool.
I remember one time I was at a coffee shop on Telegraph in Berkeley a few years ago and some random female strutter came up and introduced herself to me, and it was super cool and we rapped for a minute. Super nice person. I totally forget who it was (sorry) but afterwards my wife was like "Yo what the fuck just happened?"
Not counting the Strutters who lived in Chicago at one time or another, I've met Hook-Up, Shingaling (who doesn't post anymore), Yoigotbeats and Motown. And I knew Agent 45 (from Atlanta) long before I found out he posted here.
for real though i wouldnt even be able to remember all the people ive met at record shows and such. my memory sucks.
there was a strutter who worked for a publishing house who sent me a BOX of new hard cover cookbooks when i used to run a cooking/job training program out of a public school. i wish i remembered who that was cause I got lots of love for them
i met kingmoist and day for a brief second at Groove Merchant the day that a tandem bicycle that I had on loan for a kids program got ganked. Day gave me his store credit and told me it would turn my luck around. I found the bike later that evening in Oakland!!!! one in a million odds!

I've met too many to try to count without leaving someone out, but this is the absolute truth right here. I've kicked it with Strutters in SF, LA, San Diego, Boston, New York, Orlando, Sao Paulo and Tokyo... each time has been memorable. Here's to meeting more in the new year! :beerbang:

And Aaron ( ironmonkey ) who is the coolest cat ever just up and sent me a Third Sight 12" a few years ago that I
had been looking for forever. Thanks again and again!!
