Joe Newman- Good N Groovy
Astor Piazola- La Coquette/Lullaby for Birdland on Tico
pshhhhh....
Haven't done this in a while. Here are some recent acquisitions. Top to bottom left to right they are:
Os Carbonos - So Samba! - nice groovy track on side 1
Erlon Chaves & Banda Veneno - damn this album is good!
Dave Pike - Doors of Perception - more Dave Pike!
BDP - By Any Means - yup
Frankie Zhivago - The Age of Flying High - yes! I know this is sweated for the soul track on there, but I'm partial to the island funk songs, too.
Wild Tchoupitoulas - S/T
MC Shan - Down By Law - uh hunh
Baba... Olatunje - Soul Makossa - In addition to the title track, there another song on here called something like Tanuta that has some pounding drums that pick up a little into it. v. nice.
Susan Sings Songs from Sesame Street - "but if you've got a bit more pep, you can sing it like THIS!"
All are local finds, except for the Erlon Chaves, which was eBay.
think that was mylatency's copy too.
yup, my "old" template
I'm typing right now from the same desk that flick was taken from, hah
