    Gotta agree. Curtis Live!

If I listened to Live at Leeds again, that might change, but I doubt it.

Some ones that rarely get mentioned here:

Van Morrison-Too Late to Stop Now (70s) & Live at the Belfast Opera House (80s w/Pee Wee Ellis)

The Band- Rock of Ages(Allen Toussaint horn arrangements, and serious studio horn dudes)-even a break on the first track

The Hypstryz-Hypsterization! (Bomp records recently reisssued on vinyl, but I am waiting for the extended concert on CD)-best 80s garage band EVER, and here is the live document to prove it in spades.

  • Not necessarily the greatest but a few of my favorites.

  • CHEAP FUCKIN TRICK. LIVE AT FUCKIN BUDOKAN BRAH.

  • gotta go with this one

the beginning with the "I give you a testimonial, the MC5! then Wayne Kramer's guitar kicking in gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it when I was 19, and 15 years later, it still does...loud, tough and killer.

I still crank up "Do You feel Like We Do" when it comes on the radio (all 10 minutes of it...). It drives my wife nuts.

I've never liked grunge or nirvana. But for some strange reason I though

    was pretty dope.

The fact that I enjoyed it and I've never really been into that type of stuff makes it seem great to me.

I've also really liked James Brown Live At The Apollo and Portishead - Roseland NYC [Live]

how is it that it takes 20 posts before THE GREATEST FUCKING LIVE ALBUM OF ALL TIME is mentioned???

plenty of good to great ones named here, but please yawl: respect the architect

not only is it musically the greatest ever, but JB had to rent the hall and the recording equipment to do this hisself, cuz Mr NAthan at King was not about to entertain the idea of a live album...

the bad brains live albums are also worthy of mention... and dare i say it? as a youngin i like the descendents one a whole lot...

Jackson is so on point with the two GD picks. Darkstar on LIVE DEAD is a masterpiec. Some more crucial licks.

I have a bootleg from chicago '75 which I think is even better.

Birdman. I honestly think those Van Morrison LPs are awful. Not the strongest live performer.
