Any opinions? I'm hella shocked the shit got leaked so early. When's the lp due? I didn't even think it had a release date yet?

    i really wanna know what happened...coz im following "the scene" for a while and THAT wasn't a promo move or anything like that.



    sounds like a massive unwanted leakage (knowing that leakage is part of MKT plan).











    beside that, he's the best rapper out in N.Y. right now since N.Y has lost it...

    The single I heard was ridiculous. My boy E had it on a burnt CD. Clever lyricism and Just Blaze dopeness was definitely on-point. It was the song that's mid-tempo with the vocal sample ("ooooo ooo ay ay ay...") that comes in at the end of the 1st bar of the bassline through the 2nd bar. Fiyah!!!!

    I heard a mixtape cut a while back called "Preacher" which was great. It was built around a sample of some cat singing, "Preacher, you gotta practise what you preach", and the lyrics take a swipe at Daddy Rich-type ministers and whatnot. The guy who put me up on that told me he'd heard that Saigon has two albums in the pipeline...

    "Stocking Cap". Yeah, that's been out for awhile (like a number of things on this bootleg album... I don't know if this is really the official joint, though). I haven't listened to the whole thing but most of what I've heard is fire. I always liked Saigon, he's a real emcee for people like me who like real emcees (and there ain't too many new ones sproutin' up these days). It's a thing of beauty to hear him trade verses with Kool G Rap on "The Letter P"... that right there is what the artform of rap is all about. And the song where he's dissin' Canibus ("Repercussions") is another one of my faves: "Mane, put the thang to ya Jugular vein / when that bang, nigga, call you by your government name / like 'Germaine'! Look at ya brains all over the terrain". Dude is kinda sick.

    Man, I still have not gotten around to purchasing my pro-tools set up yet. Too much going on. I'm still not 100% sure which way I want to go, but doesn't look like it will be PC. I'm leaning towards a G4 powerbook and digi 002 instead of m-box, but I dunno, mane. Thanks for the offer anyway... I will still probably be hitting you up for for tips if you can help once I finally get this thing set up (probably not until my 55th birthday at the rate I'm goin').
