    Without trying to get to elaborate about it, I will say that I wish more people would speak out like this. Not because one song will change the world on some kumbaya shit, but because we lack real frank discussion about difficult topics like race relations. And the oppressed or marginalized voices don't get enough airtime, and most celebrities are muted through fear of being labeled "political" and losing work. Every voice in the public sphere falls in line with the nauseating momentum of the current system.

    I don't think all art has to be political. But political art serves a very important purpose in the world and I wish popular artists would step up and be more aggressive with it. We need it.
