    some of these tracks have been re-issued:













    I'll get some clips sorted of the other tracks after the weekend. In case of the Action 13 and Sonny Okosuns the flip sides are just as good. Best tracks are the two Saint Emmy & the Heroes 45s and I've never heard or seen those before.

    So ill. Thanks Frank. I'm not crazy for the Active Action track, but the rest you posted are fucking mind blowing. That "Ohomi" track is just straight fire. I played it 3x in a row. Looks like I've been asleep for 4 years - this comp came out in 2010! Onto Discogs to cop. It's unreal that you have the OGs.

    Looking forward to hearing the 'new' ones you found!

    Props for coming away with 60(!) records during your trip. I generally average 4-5?

    Sangre Latina is tough Guaguanco with a Latin funk flip.

    Ramona King: "Everybody Knows" (apologies in advance - still need to deep clean this one). Kris Holmes approved, BTW!

    So stoked to own "Jazz Pachanga" on 45 finally.

    "Stoned Free" is a surprisingly good (IMO) Hendrix cover from Panama. Had to get it, since it's on Taboga and it rules.

    Sort of. Samples mostly. The one I mentioned about has one called "24th Psalm" which can be looped up; Rhodes groove. They have an earlier one with this below. I got both for a couple of bucks, so...

    Anyone else got a copy of this or know more than what's on Discogs? Copped this for a buck in New York when there earlier this month. Interesting that the insert is hand-written too.

    - Set the system to a low-normal volume.
    - Play just one of the sweep bands.
    - Listen to your system again. You'll be amazed.

    Hear the little clicks and pops in the high-frequency portion of the recording? They indicate the renewed clarity of your system.

    What the sweep record did:

    - Degaussed your cartridge.
    - Degaussed your entire system.
    - Ultrasonically cleaned your stylus and cantilever.

    In addition to the sweep bands, you will find several blank spots suitable for setting tone arms, especially the anti-skate/level of linear tracking air bearing arms.
