Until today I have never seen anyone here(or anywhere else) insult Finland, it's government or it's people.

Factually, that's not true. Wikipedia tells me that Finns are involved in peacekeeping operations like e.g. ISAF (hi, Rockadelic), EUFOR Althea, UNMOGIP, EUFOR RD Congo, KFOR, UNMIL, UNTSO, UNMIS, and EUFOR TCHAD/RCA. I find it curious, by the way, that you so readily equate guns with help.

We went to Helsinki a while back and hooked up with Pirkka from Lifesaver records who was that dude and also witnessed a very nice deep house set at Teatre. We ended the night with decent chicken tikka masala takeout from some tiny hole-in-the-wall place and wandered back in heavy snow.

Not to be all conspiratorial, but I'm not sure I believe the porn story. It seems too calculated to harm Osama's image as a pious muslim. Either that, or the porn belonged to one of the other 50 people who drifted thru there...

It doesn't matter where you come from. There's no reason someone from any country can't criticize US policy.
Also, one side of my family is Estonian. I've always had this hand-me-down shirt from some relative with an Estonian patch on it. One day I was going to wear it, and I decided I should look up what the patch meant, just in case???
Turns out it's an SS patch from an Estonian division - EEK! Put that in the back of the closet! But, people do need a little perspective on the predicament these little countries on the Russian border were in.
