We got the vinyl re-ish of this in at the new record shop I volunteer at (which is literally a 30 second walk from the back door of the building I live in ... but I digress). I've been very tempted to pick it up for Touch Me I'm Sick alone. Such a classic song that I probably haven't actually listened to in quite a few years (time to dig up that CD at the very least).
I did grab the vinyl re-ish of Doolittle at our new shop. I needed La La Love You for a wedding I DJ'd and I couldn't find my CD. Then I remembered, "wait a minute, I work at a record store that's 30 seconds away that has just about the entire Pixies catalog (I'd previously found minty originals of Surfer Rosa and Come On Pilgrim there)". Anyway, I'm not mad at seeing Doolittle in this thread either.
My reflex when asked this question is usually Zeppelin I, which perfect in every way to me. But a close second would be Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea. Like Zeppelin it has it all; the slow stuff, the hard stuff and lots of heart.

Sticky Fingers - Stones
White Album - Beatles
And, I loved seeing "The Sonics..."
Finally, does, "Music From Big Pink," count? Is that rock enough for us?
If so, that's my number one, and it ain't budging.
Good one, likely in my top20.
Yes! I catch an involuntary head nod everytime I listen to Chest Fever.
another couple of rockers that deserve attention.
