Anyone that knew me before I was 13 calls me Anton. In my elementary school, the entire staff seemed to insist on calling me "Antoine." Everyone... My teachers, the principal, the guidance councilor... "ANTOINE." I would always have to correct people. My parents would always have to correct people. It got REALLY old.
