The main sample has been used in tv adverts by a UK bank/travel agency/kitchen cleaner product for several years.

I have to say that when I first heard Fat Trel I never thought he was gonna develop like he has. Really interested in what he does next.

Anyway, this is killing me at the moment.

I like this for two reasons: The beat and the fact that Tyler's bold and ballsy enough to give Game shit about namedropping on his own song. Too much mutual jockriding in rap, that's one of the reasons I like Tyler's non-"team player"-ness.

"'Where was Snoop?' I don't know, probably doing what the Crips do
But when I'm with my uncle, f*ck it then I'm a Crip too."

I don't advocate gang culture, but I understand it and (in a way) respect it enough that this line makes me embarrassed for dude. Show some goddamn pride, Game!

A homie queued this up in the middle of a ridiculous youtube k-hole a couple of months back...it's one of those tracks I thoughts was hilarious and stupid and about mid way through it I realized "oh my god..this shit is raw as hell..."

I like how she spends the first 40 seconds talkin' bout the yank factor of her pussy and then on the opening line of her first verse what does she opt to do????...remind us that her pussy be yankin', of course....

Incidentally, i saw PE live in Toronto a couple weeks back and they were really good live (it was at a festival called Sausagefest, if you can believe it). On first listen, I'm not really feeling the Otis thing Chuck did recently but maybe David Banner can just be the new Chuck D.

ps. What's good and recent from Killer Mike?

I like Banner...but that song just isn't good at all.

Neither really...he's adopting the syle of the people he's dissing, which is kinda dissing himself in the process of dissing them.

Looking for some opinions on this one. It's basically a dude rapping over Lovely Bloodflow by Baths. Please give it a listen and let me know what you think of it...

    i guess i didn't take it to that meta-level!

that track you posted is nice in a late-era Fondle 'Em/Def Jux way. the video's quite melodramatic.
