Hey Lucious,

"Gon' wit' yo, gon' wit yo, Gon' on wit' yo baaaaad self..."
"Well I'm goin' (where?) straight to the tip-top Eatin' crazy fruit, so I can't stop Squattin' here, listen to the LP 'Straight Out the Jungle" by the JBs Baby-Bam beat keeps the bass bottom bouncin' Suckers literin', girls ouncin' Women inchin', girls pinchin Run to the record store to see if this 12" is in Remixes, our fix is We write it, you like it Rap music, house music No matter what it is the JBs can do it."
"I'm Your Puppet" "Kool Is Back" "Synthetic Substitution": Out-there lyrics and grand piano that has the similar effect to... "Hyperbolicsesq...": Always gives me goosebumps, even though I could never place exactly who, among the many, used that long, sinister piano bridge. Labbi Siffre "I Got The Blues": Knowing the ensuing hilarious legal drama following the use of the jaunty little keyboard breakdown adds to the enjoyment. "Seven Minutes Of Funk": Who was the one here that owns the carpet to the alternate cover to this record? Great bassline. "Bra": Like the above, it's a catchy, off-kilter bassline that commands the entire flow of the song. I'm reminded of the Anna Paquin and Philip Seymour Hoffman comedy relief in 25th Hour. What is "Bra", anyway? Slangier "bro"? Jackson 5 "It's Great To Be Here": Steel drums! "Nautilus" and "Seed Of Love" really get me going, too.
