While not all games have been converted the Wii supports the following systems in the virtual console: NES, SNES, N64, Arcade, Commodore 64, NEOGEO, Sega Genesis, Sega Master System and TurboGrafx 16.
Mario Paint was tha shit...you could make music and animated shorts that you could use to make fun of your friends when they came over. I remember the epic "Josh eats poop" song and animation. Ha ha
thats actually how this whole thing went down. he'll sit on my lap and we'll play them on the computer. it's been going on for a while, and to be honest, my computer chair ain't that comfortable, especially when you got a 4 year old on your lap.
so i bought the system to rock it in the living room on the cozy couch.
btw, got the system yesterday and shit rocks. beat street fighter II the first time playing it in almost 10 years. schooled the step daughter at mario kart and rubbed her bratty face in it. it was great!
as far as those GN/FC jaunts, they need to make the complete one that has NES, SNES, Sega, & Genesis all in one. they have all the other variations (nes/sega, snes/genesis, nes/genesis, etc) except the all-in-one.

I wasn't aware of that, it's kind of neat; but I see several flaws that make it ehhh:
Virtual Console games are locked to the Wii on which they were purchased???they cannot be transferred to another Wii via an SD card,
The pricing has also been criticized as too high, especially for the NES games,[54] given the prices of many of the games available as used and the near-zero costs of manufacture and distribution.
1000 Nintendo Points cost US$10 in the United States
If you bought more than a few you would make your money back buying used cartridges... which can also be traded back in or sold or taken to your friend's house!

Funny it never occurred to me that those old school light guns only work with tube TVs. Hmmm.
I want to see a NES+SNES+Commodore 64!
==ELITE==
But I was more of a Sega kid really
the genesis version graphics and sound sucked compared to SNES.
Time to step up to the 21st Century:

SF2 was definitely my game on SNES.
*Edit* - almost forgot - Commando on the NES. I spent HOURS on that game!

Meh.
Plenty of love for Blaster Master right here. Beating that game was a real commitment.
i once chewed a piece of gum to a full liquid while gnashing my teeth trying to beat russia in the final match.
remember when russia or germany were ALWAYS the bad guys in everything? no matter how obvious their lack of actual skill was in that field?
having this guy is great
Always loved Marble Madness
it doesn't get much better than this. specially the bit where you fly the dragon
Damn...I thought I was the only one that thought Shadowrun was one of the best titles for SNES.
