    to be fair, it doesn't sound much different/worse than the record IMO.

    Agreed. I mean, let's be honest, he's not about to put Aaron Neville on notice with that falsetto but I don't think anyone is claiming he's an awesome singer.

    no, that's i why i prefaced it with i was being critical - it's tough to sing falsetto and keep it pitch perfect but then again some notes he straight up and down missed. :27 made me hit stop. thanks though dogz.

    i think claiming the record sounds no better than that performance is super unfair, he sounds really bad on that clip..... but truth be told the actual song isn't THAT bad.

    i now understand your comment

    however the double standad is rap is automatically judged by eight degrees of realness and is not satisfying to anyone while tepidness in soul covers are given much more leeway
