Hey voidarelli, could you please help me: what's the name of this group? I have the album, but I can't find it because I've filed it alphabetically and the title ("Direct Disco") is all I can ever remember about it (apart from the ass of course). I think their name is only mentioned on the back.
It's got a pretty good cover version of Brass Construction "Movin'", right?

Thanks man. I found it under "D". I hate when I can't find my shit. I want to try playing that version out in a disco set. It's got kind of a rinky-dinky vibe that might throw people off though.
Back on topic, this might be the most misleading cover EVAR:
which is a '77 repackaging of JLR's '71 "Bronca Buenos Aires" album on Trova:
What the hell was the Catalyst people thinking when they put that ass on the cover? Fooling people to think it was disco rather than jazz I guess. I wonder what JLR thought of that cover, especially given the political nature of the music.
Anyway, it's an excellent album and naff cover aside it's actually worth picking up the Catalyst issue, because it has the spanish spoken word parts removed. Yeah, I know they're part of the original concept, but sometimes you just want to let the music breathe. I've kept both versions, but the booty gets the most spins.
With ALLLLLLLL the pics posted above...& beyond, how is it that MY 'Oh Calcutta' cover pic "violated our terms of use"?? Paaaaaants be to photof*cket!!

My very first record I bought when I was 11 years old. Just for the booty pic!
I do believe 'the youth' know this as 'a wedgie' these days.
I will admit to being sorely disconnected in this regard.
Back in my day, we'd say "look at that bird's strides, they're halfway up her f*cking arse" or somesuch.
