I am bringing Easy and will spend the night at a motel around the corner.
Dan
We've been hustling for the last month and a half to blow it the f#$k up.
I randomly got a call from a dude at Wax Poetics a couple days ago who
wanted to hear what we were up to so the word is spreading in a major way.
The Big Dig
LOL no I'll hit that up.
somebody PM me telling me they'll have:
Witch Lazy Bones (or something similar that'll blow my mind similarly)
Nico Gomez Ritual
Outkast Southernplayalistic
and all those other ones I always wanted, or didn't know I wanted until you told me.
I will have like at least 35 bucks-- see you there!
this is great, I'm gonna SAVE MY FACE OFF at this thing!
I gots a copy of the first D.O.C. that will be in attendance.
Ask for the Soul Strut discount.
31 dollars left!
what you other fools got???
$35? I'll leave the Nico Gomez at home!
I'm a collector and not a dealer. So with that being said I don't think I will have much "Heat" but I will have a few things for sale.
if I still lived on Delridge, I could probably afford the Nico Gomez... but it'd be shattered by a stray bullet before I had a chance to play it.
Money is somewhat of an issue, as MONEY IS EVERYTHING, but I'm ready for BUYING (post-economic collapse adjusted)!
scored my first copy of
from a dollar bin at a show near seattle center's coliseum, maybe the snoqualmie room...
and damned if it didn't have a single skip...
alright then show up tomorrow and double your money, plus the CD.
or: stay home and listen to all your copies in a row...
dammit. what kind of canned food did you bring? Okra?
the good stuff...
Don't bring any cans holmes this ain't the Seattle Center show, that's next weekend.
We take ass, grass, or cash.
Nobody rides for free!
See ya'll tomorrow!
what's the deal with early entry?
the train is keeping me light
wish i'd've seen that Hard Stuff. I'll get that some day.
annnyways: good show; good times. I got some great records and nobody punched me! My friend was stoked too.
How many canned foods are required for that Bulletproof, by the way?
Shit was good for sure, only got about half the people through the door I was expecting, perhaps my expectations were a little unrealistic. I got nothing but cool feedback from buyers and sellers (except for one sad sack I shouldn't have even let sell in the first place). We will be making this a biannual event no doubt. Next time if more folks show up I'll be able to hit Tony's "Second Mortage Box" up for more than just one piece.
I wonder what that whole box priced out at...
Stark Reality+2 Lyman Woddards+Mike James Kirkland+Milton Wright+++++!
Here's what I copped all via trade and/or reasonable prices.
It's nice to have those Hutsons, Eddie Drennon, and VOEH back in my life.
What are dude's prices like on joints like this? I know he's got some killer records, always heard crazy things from friends who used to live up there, but I seem to remember hearing about these same records being in his boxes like 6 months back.
b/w
Does he have a current email that I can use to get in touch?
Thanks man! I'm glad you enjoyed it...
Hopefully you found something cool.
I was in the big room right next to Supreme, but I wasn't always at my table.
His prices are on the high end, but his records are in good shape and there's always lots of them.
He's based out of Spokane and doesn't really deal on the internet, so sometimes it takes him
some time to move his big ticket items.
Examples:
Stark NM/VG+ $700
Lyman Woodard (Sealed) $450
Lyman Woodard NM $350
Mike Kirkland-Doin It Right NM $225
Esther Williams-Let Me Show You EX $100
I bought a mint Deirdre Wilson Tabac from him for $60 and it was a trade/cash situation, I thought
that was a pretty good deal. He also had lot's of great stuff in his $4/$3 for $10 bins.
please, entertain us with some details.
i dealt with tony years ago and he had crazy records then too. good trade experience.
