i'm at f*ckin work because at first they said the college was going to be opening at noon, and then at 11:30, when i was already at work (my wife had to be at work at 11, so she dropped me off), they cancelled the whole f*ckin day. i'm going home soon and then i will get drunk. and then once i'm nice and liquored up i might hit up some snow angels and throw snowballs for my dog to jump at and demolish.
On snow blizzard days, me and Mrs. Saba walk over the Williamsburg Bridge and go to Peter Lugers, becuase when it snows like this people never show up and you dont need a reservation. We ususally do it using the pocket change we have saved up (since the last snowstorm). We call it the Peter Lugers fund, and its a Saba Family tradition.
I got some braised buffalo short ribs I am going to eat wth some tortilas for lunch. Later I plan to get a nice fire going and drink some coffee with bourbon or scotch and later I'll drink the same without the coffee.

I'm just chillin' in the crib now. Rutgers cancelled classes today so I don't have to teach this evening. I had to take wifey to get a routine medical procedure this morning, and thankfully, all is well. We're getting to that age where doctors gotta poke around to make sure shit's straight (pun intended). Shit, given my family history, my annual physicals will always involve gloves and some jelly. I guess I'll crank up some tunes in a minute and just relax. I hope I don't have to shovel anymore today.

Yup. Got up at 6am to go pick up my girl off her night shift since her car doesn't work in this kind of snow, then started with the snowblower at around 9. That didn't work because it's not functioning properly, so I had to go old school and break out the shovels. After knocking out my house, my parent's house, and the old lady across the street's house I'm now laying into a bottle of Johnny Walker Black and ready to stuff a beer can up a chicken's ass and cook it.
we actually got 5 inches of snow in Memphis Saturday night! It was 70 degrees a couple days earlier...it is almost all melted though...gonna be 80 by the end of the week...crazy f*ckin weather.
