    Yeah, it's pretty chilly in Boston. And I'm going to Watertown, NY for the weekend, where one can only imagine it will be colder.

    The folks I'm traveling with want to go cross-country skiing. From what I understand, it's like downhill skiing, but with more effort and less fun.

    power outage in a large part of Toronto since 10 PM last night...worst possible time for this to happen. Broken water mian flooded a hydro box. Still lots of people without heat and the city is urging folks to check on any seniors or at-risk people. Subways only just started back up.

    Coldest day in 12 years yesterday in Chicago. Cold as F*ck today too. The heater in my house broke two nights ago. My fingers are too cold to type anything else.
