  • I find the art on the artifact labeled "Ambassadors" most intruiging- may i enquire as to what the details of that particular cultural artifact are, H of Crink?

African Folk Songs by bushmen who were "rescued" by Methodists. The whole concept is kinda offensive, but also kinda funny - in a disturbed way. I was hoping for Mulatu style jazzfunk, but oh well. Still pretty cool.

Here's a scan of the back...

Whats that Pin Points No Dressing lp all about??

    good question
    from the back cover
"to the army of dry souls thirsting for
the beautific artistry of simple songs well sung,
we pour purity of waters with no flouride,
the sincerity of music with no dessing "
    ??!??
1979 "creations from the play Pin Points" outta dubois place southeast dc
with sedatrius brown & ersky freeman, drums & conga, melodica, keys, bass +
a real mix with a gospel tune,
    some ghetto new age moves,
spiritual jazz moments, jazzy tone poems
& a drumming chanting freakout "That Dope"
the strong moments are very, as are the weak
i'll be trying to dig up more info
but like the "brother bull" - "message to earth" jacketless thrift store strangness
    i once turned up,
i don't expect much info to turn up

  • creative source s/t
main ingredient- shame on the world
best of gabor szabo on impulse
    bobby hutcherson son-montara
    barkays-cold blooded
cal tjaders latin concert on fantasy
and a beautiful copy of promised heights!
i paid money for them but in essence they were free to me in ways in which i wont go into on the internet

at the xian shop the other day i actually found some halfway decent records.
special ed-youngest in charge, kind of funny to me because the only other hiphop record i've found there was about 4 years ago and it was ed's legal album.
minnie riperton-adventures in paradise, triple but for a buck, could i really just leave it there?? maybe
    nancy wilson-today my way
    ocean-pyhith album*yawnn
hap palmer-creative movement and rhythmic expression, for some odd reason i havent listened to this yet. might be cool. cool cover anyway.

last night at my homies storage i pulled:
    too short-life is 12in
    adina howard-freak like me
    clipse lp
    mc lyte-10% dis
    kotix-?'s white label
ill al scratch dont shut down on a player with e.bros funky piano on the flip
i guess these were kinda free too if i think about it

If you like Moog records, then this is decent. Nice covers with drums of Norwegian Wood and Strawberry Fields. It's worth it b/c it can be copped for cheap.
