Corporate Xmas Parties - Who's playing them?

I'm doing my first one ever for the Government department that I work for. b, 21b, 21It???s the Environment department. A lot of these people are specialists who wear sandals on a regular basis so I figure its going to be quite difficult get them feeling funky. b, 21b, 21We???re expecting 450 ppl and I???m playing one hour before a Jazz singer and one hour after. I assume i'm just going to be there to keep a festive mood, not tear da club up. b, 21b, 21Any advice/stories re: corporate gigs?
