Just bought that one a couple of months ago. Socialist songs sung by this woman Fasia, whom I don't know anything about. It's on a label called Pl??ne out of Dortmund, probably a socialist label like Demos in Denmark. It's recorded in Hamburg and K??ln. There are songs about the struggles of the working class, George Jackson, the military coup in Chile, Bob Dylan covers in german, stuff like that. Some of it is folky but a few tunes are really funky with a horn section on top. "Freedom, Freiheit, Libert??" is the choice cut. Her vocal is a bit annoying at times though.

Some really great (as well as terribly cheesy) stuff on there from people like Wolfgang Dauner, Johnny Teupen, Peter Schirmann a.o., and some hilarous voiceovers. Of course those things are impossible to track down even here in your neighbor country. Do you have some of these flexidiscs? I'd love to see some pics! I got to get that Oimels LP as well. I'm definetely digging Dauner.

Teupen's tune The Minikillers is not from a commercial nor is it on a flexi. It was one of those 7"s that came with an 8mm film. You had to put the film and the record on simultaniously, like the Americom releases from the US (but those are flexis). I have the 7" but sadly not the package and the film. I have one more german 7" 8mm soundtrack called 'Anal Party', also from the beginning of the seventies. At the beginning of the record a woman expresses her fear for the size of the guy. He answers: "Keine angst, wir machen es ganz langsam und systematisch".

HAHAHA. That's the funniest thing I've heard in a while. It would be interesting to hear some soundclips. Are you able to do that? Those 8mm soundtracks look really interesting. I wasn't aware of that whole 7" sound/8mm sight combo concept. Must have been a synchronization nightmare.
There are sooooo many rare German Prog and Psych records. Some were pressed in tiny tiny quantities and going for top dollar. I don't own any Prog or "Psych" record. It's a completely different digging territory. No money, no game...
And those Crippled Dick people got access to some rare stuff that I'm not 100% sure about. Some of their compilations feature tracks that were never officially released. They might find master tapes at TV stations or ask musicians personally. I have never ever seen a flexi disc, nor one of those rare soundtracks. Like Eastern German spy series. Never seen soundtrack recordings. Never seen any other releases by those composers.
Don't ask me. I wish there was some Prog or Psych collector from Germany on this forum. Should have a lot to share and tell. WHERE ARE YOU?
Oh, before I forget. There are some nice German library labels besides Golden Ring, Happy Records, Selected Sound, Coloursound and Europhon. I don't own any, because they are kinda expensive, but I bet there's incredible music to be found on those records. Some big names being involved.

Beat For Lovers (try "Beat f??r Verliebte" or "Beat fuer Verliebte" on eBay) is really rare, although I found another dope LP on the REX label for 3 Dollars last week. I sold my Rusch copy. I'll find another one. One day...
Dave Kamien is a strange record. I thought that I discovered it first. Bought the first copy 6 or 7 years ago. I once had 4 more copies (one with signature by Dave) that I almost found at the same time. I have never seen a copy ever since at stores or flea markets. I found my 4 extra copies within some weeks. Kinda strange. Don't know if the LP is really rare or not. I traded or sold all of my copies. Will keep an eye out for you. Same for the KNEF LP. Not that rare, but usually around 20 USD. There are some (2 or 3) later pressings featuring either all or the best songs from that KNEF LP. Hildegard Knef died about 2 years ago and many people know her music. She was very very famous in Germany. I guess that's why record stores don't sell her LPs for cheap anymore. Watch out for Hans Hammerschmidt records. He directed the band on KNEF. Some dope stuff by him. Don't mess with his Schlager music attempts though.
Poser is overrated. It should be easier to find, but I never really looked out for that LP. I remember seeing covers like that Lifeline LP in crates, but I never took a closer look. That was 4 or 5 years ago. Isn't that record on Pl??ne?! The Pl??ne label (look above) is not THAT rare and people tend to underrate the Pl??ne label. Some decent stuff on Pl??ne. African Jazz, Cuban Jazz, groovy Jazz, Fusion, Rock, experimental music. Krautbreaks should step in and tell some more...

Yeah, Modern Soul Band is tight. I know all of their LPs. Check out the one with the brown cover as well as the one with the blue cover. There's a superb flute Jazz track on the brown-covered one.

Don't know why, but EVERY Amiga release has that kind of a soft cover. Guess Eastern Germany was priniting their covers at the company that Muza used too. Their covers are the same.
