Quote:/font1h,121b,121Nah I'm not writing off all their records, I'm just saying throwing Treach in the mix of BDK, G Rap, Percee for GOAT status is nutso.b, 21b, 21This is supposed to be about Rakim anyway. lol b,121b, 21h,121
font class="post"1b,121b, 21Wait up a sec...I wasnt claiming GOAT status for Treach... I thought we were talking about 'fast rapping' styles and who dominates in the arena (or has..).... And Treach was one of the best fast rymers of his 'era', the dude was lyrical with it and creative with the flow... his first couple of albums anyways. He's under rated I think, because he had 'hits'... But if you back and breakdown some of his early rimes, the dude has some complex rime structures and multi shit happening that cats are just flipping nowadays...b,121b, 21What about ppl like Busdriver and co? I personally cant get into that style, too fast, too hard to grasp any meaning from the words....
The first time I heard Kool Moe Dee rock the "Fast Rhymes" it was acapella. But it was "Non-Stop Rhythm Rockin". Super fast - almost mushmoufish. b,121b, 21Its on the Treacherous 3 Anniversary at Harlem World - 82/83.b, 21b, 21b,121b, 21object width="425" height="344"1param name="movie" value=""1/param1param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"1/param1embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"1/embed1/object1b,121b, 21Rakim is still great at connectin his verses w/out many pauses.
