font class="post"1b,121b, 21ehhh ... did you WATCH the "interview?" There's a big difference betweenb, 21"tough questions" and coming out, quoting Karl Marx and following it upb, 21with "isn't that basically the same as Obama - isn't he a essentially ab, 21communist?" That's not hard journalism, it's political sandbagging.

Sounds like the same thing to me. b,121b, 21But that is not the point. The point is bloggers and republican dirty trick workers are out there saying this stuff on the DL. Coming right out and saying it gives the candidates a chance to respond. b, 21b, 21I'd love to hear her (accept she has proven she only ask hard questions to Ds.) ask McCain about the Foresster and his divorce, and Cindy's stealing of drugs. The idea that the only questions that journalists should ask are those that can be answered by repeating stump speech catch phrases is just stupid.

On a somewhat related note, how can people like Michael Savage exist? I'm not knowing about this dude. I understand free speech and shit, but this is a whole other level...b,121b, 21Oct. 9th:b,121b, 21SAVAGE:Reverend Wright is the soul of Barack Hussein Obama./b1 You know that and I know that. And on that note, I think we should play Reverend Wright so you remember who he really is. This is the inner Obama as let out of the box. Listen carefully.b,121WRIGHT [audio clip]b,121b, 21SAVAGE: I fear that Obama will stir up a race war./b1 You want to ask me what I fear? I think Obama will empower the racists in this country and stir up a race war in order to seize absolute power.b,121b, 21CALLER 2: I absolutely agree with you as far as the race war goes./b1 I think the greatest thing that concerns me about Obama is his resentment toward this country. I feel that him and his wife feel that they have fought very hard against whites, and that everything that they have, they are entitled to versus being thankful and feeling privileged for living in this country, and what this country has provided in terms of opportunities. b,121b, 21SAVAGE:/b1 Correct. And affirmative action helped both of them, there's no question about it.b,121b, 21CALLER 2:/b1 And I --b,121b, 21SAVAGE:/b1 And of course, that was because of social engineering on the left side.b,121b, 21CALLER 2:/b1 I feel that he is, like you said, going to give a voice to all those people who feel resentment toward whites/b1, essentially. And -- and it's going to be --b,121b, 21SAVAGE:/b1 Oh no, I want everyone to strip off all of their social constraints right now on this show. And I want them to get down to the core fear that they have for Obama./b1 I want to hear it on this show, and I thank you. And you can call me at 1-800-449-8255. Don't hold anything back.b,121b, 21I mean, I don't want you to go over the top with language that I can't run. I want you to call this show and tell me what you fear about Barack Hussein Obama as president./b1b,121b, 21b, 21Oct 27th:b,121b, 21SAVAGE:/b1 Obama and I are on the opposite sides of the political spectrum, as you can well imagine. While he benefited from affirmative action, stepping over more qualified white men, I actually lost as a result of affirmative action, many times in my life. Although I'd get near 100s on certain exams, they put me at the back of the bus because they said -- the ACLU said -- certain people will have to put their futures on hold in order to let others advance, and take a look at where we are today -- we have America's first affirmative action candidate about to become president./b1b,121b, 21a href="http://mediamatters.org/items/200810090008?f=h_clips" target="_blank"1http://mediamatters.org/items/200810090008?f=h_clips/a1b,121a href="http://mediamatters.org/items/200810280016?f=h_latest" target="_blank"1http://mediamatters.org/items/200810280016?f=h_latest/a1b,121b, 21________________________________________________________________________________________________________________b,121b, 21Heyyyyy that's not racist at all! It's Wright that's racist, not you? Got it.b,121All of this playing into white fear is comical. Sad, but comical. I mean really, wtf do these people think he's going to do? There's a whole SLEW OF OTHER PEOPLE involved in the decision making process on every level.b, 21b, 21Things are getting real ugly the closer we get to the election. I'm not surprised though, sad to say.
