font class="post"1b,121b,121b,121I haven't listened to Sublime in years, but I remember liking them. Of course, at the time I was still a prodigious consumer of mareee-wanna....
yay all day...b,121b,121although i don't really listen to um anymore they were a big influence in high school...b,121b,121robbin the hood, 40oz and sublime are all great records...
Seriously? Can someone post the hottest song(or one of them) these guys ever put out? I admit I have only heard a handful, but they were bad..like really really bad..like make you feel awkward/embarrassed when it is playing bad. I must have missed the "good stuff".
yeah, i was under the impression the "consensus" of soulstrut was they sucked. i myself have no problem with them, but they were overplayed in my earlier partying days. i have no real emotional connection to them or their music.
Yay???used to love them. They were like the one thing I listened to in HS were I wasn???t concerned with if it was punk/underground enough. On vacation the last 2 weeks this Aug, 40z was all I listened to but had to re-get it from iTunes on the iPhone and no "Get Out" as Track 2 = NAGL...I remember when they re-released 40oz after they initially got big and that alt version they had on there was bad enough.b,121b,121Finally, I was shocked to read how seemingly ridiculous Bradley???s reasons for getting into heroin were RE Wikipedia: b,121b,121???Nowell descended into a two-year heroin "experiment". Nowell claimed that his heroin use was justified, claiming it aided his artistic creativity, thereby increasing the likelihood that his material would attract the attention of a major label.???
font class="post"1b,121img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cos3ve.gif" alt="" /1b,121i was ambivalent about sublime until i moved to san diego 7 years ago.b,121i think they give you a free copy of their greatest hits if you move here from the midwest, live with four other people in a one bedroom apartment near the beach and don't own a vacuum.b,121everywhere[/b] you go, you hear [i]i don't practice santoreeee-aaa/i ain't got no crystal bawwwwwwwl/i1 b,121b,121shit is out of control.
File under: great music with a massive, unbearbaly annoying fanbase.b,121b,121they wrote some great songs and repped Long Beach. It's not their fault their music became a frat house staple.
yeah i definitely used to "get down" to their first 2 albums. can't say i have actively listened to them in a loooooooong time, but it couldn't hurt to revisit some of their work. their Decendents cover was pretty damn good, and what was up with that q-ball joint? is there any more of that schitt from some unheard sessions that the trustafarians, and kappa sig's know about but not me?b,121b,121i do cringe whenever i hear those 3 songs they only play on the radio, as i did when they came out.
Some of the worst music ever recorded--was subjected to it one summer while working construction.b,121b,121Why am I not surprised that half you little dudes used to be into it?

Still listen on the every now and again tip. The S/T album with that Santeria crap on it was tepid at best. A few good cuts, but the radio choices were horrid.

font class="post"1b,121b,121lol. this coming from a dude that (a) chooses his crappy music almost EXCLUSIVELY on the basis of where the artist happens to be from and (b) has gone on record on this board riding for some of the most suspect whiteboy rock music ever (see: Guns N Roses thread).
