Me and the misses are headin out to T Dot tomorrow morning for a friend's wedding. b,121b,121We'll be there for a week, I'm pretty sure she and her friends have us covered for food but whats really for records?     For Records: Play De Record and Cosmos are the 2 that come to mind.b,121b,121Don't know any soul nights off hand, but do grab a copy of 'eye' and/or 'NOW' magazine (free weeklys that are on many street corners downtown) and have a look.b,121b,121There's a monthly party called 'footprints' that is off the chain: funk, soul, latin, mad raers, etc. It goes down the third Saturday of the month (I think).b,121b,121Good luck.

    Haven't been record shopping in Toronto in a bit but here's what I remember. Kopps is good for 45s, re-issues, and random stuff. They're on Queen/University by Osgoode station. If you walk on queen east of Kopps there are a few other stores, including a few decent second hand spots, with the trip ending at Cosmos. There is also a spot on Yonge by Bathurst station that has some decent stuff. If you're looking for Cds make sure to hit up 333 Yonge street's HMV.b,121b,121Don't know about soul nights but definitely pick up a Now or Eye, they are free at libraries1and some newsstands. The folks at Play de Record would probably be able to help you find a jam. If you like jazz then I'd suggest hitting up the Rex at 6 or 9pm. They are pretty close to Kopps, but across the street.
