Last LP from these guys (circa '74 on the Sound of Philadelphia labelCompleted by Hysear Don Walker collection, both his albums are mellow heat Isaac Hayes & David Porter produced southern soul effort. Pre-dates the Ollie Nightengale LP by a couple years Theres a nice cover of By the Time I get to Phoenix and some Wilson Pickett trackOriginal mono pressNot as good as the Minifaldo Reynaldo LP. But the very last track is an odd intrumental psych numer I'm digging Mid-70's soul funk release on a Los Angeles label. features Toussaint sining. One side is good, the other, not so much Original Duke pressing 3 Dynamite tracks on here. this is the first time I picked up a Jackie Wilson 70's release, makes me curious about his other ones

I got some ok Aussie 45s for cheap yesterday.
Doug Parkinson - I'll be around 45
Healing Force - Golden Miles 45
Renee Geyer - Be there in the morning 45
and a few other ok titles at $2 a pop. Pretty bad though then you consider they came out of a radio station lot of 6,000 45s and that was the best of the bunch!
BOOBS

Amazing soulful gospel
I have another Hopson Family lp and this one sounded just as amazing
Old Belgian comp of Mahmoud Ahmed's 70's material
Early gospel comp with some doo wopish vocals. I've been on a gospel kick lately (can you tell?)
Finally found an OG copy for a good price. Indy Cali Soul/Blues monster
I'm always looking for good african stuff and this lp comes correct with some great Juju
From Guinea. These guys put on some guitar fireworks
I needle dropped in the store and dug this early R&B comp of his classics
Ungoogleable gospel pearl on Champ. Mindblowing
These songs are currently stuck in my head
Fiery and dynamic sermon with upbeat ending. Sunday morning classic
Nothing is better than spending a day going through tons of boxes of 45's, buying the ones you loved, and playing them back at the house with some beer, and some friends

Looks good. what's the sound like?
thats the second copy of this posted in a couple months.
do tell...
killer and sought after modern soul record!
sounds like Lemmy pretending to be Freddie Mercury, and has a hamfisted guitar solo, but the overall feel is pure soul IMO
Not by a long shot....the nathaniel mayer is better than all of those LPs put together. BTW TWO Nat Mayers on the strut!!!??!? I am what the becky's refer to as "J"....That LP is rare as snake feathers and one of the greatest, rawest Detroit R&B LPs evar...hell, it is the greatest.
I only win because of the Gomorrah LP. Can't be beat! Sonny!
do you ever turn up Max Greger Catch Up 1 and 2?
I need those...
i had to sell them. 2 good tracks per lp. the rest is really not better than any other LP on Calig that I've heard. Catch Up 1&2 are getting cheaper at the moment, so I'll check for them.
I'll remember your want!
I know there's some killer high tempo phased synth jazz on there.
I need it like the very air that we breathe.
havent posted in a bit..
some dollar finds i still need to check out,
Asha,
the 12 is "fast loot tactics" hard to find philly random rap
autosalvage and grant green were cheap
and prospectus is a local PA smalllabel live 2LP with lots of covers. unfortunately, the one i got out a dollar bin doesnt have the disc with "sing a simple song" anyone heard it?
get familiar with rabold crew's open house lp on calig. in the same vein as catch up. but MUCH cheaper.
whoa
I'd take a chance for sure
Same label too
that's what i'm saying! i'm the best finder!
I DEMAND SATISFACTION!
