Here is the bracket for the first round if you've been sleeping under a rock:

    Eastern Conference

    (1) Boston
    (8) Atlanta

    (4) Cleveland
    (5) Washington

    (3) Orlando
    (6) Toronto

    (2) Detroit
    (7) Philadelphia

    Western Conference

    (1) LA Lakers
    (8) Denver

    (4) Utah
    (5) Houston

    (3) San Antonio
    (6) Phoenix

    (2) New Orleans
    (7) Dallas

Good luck to all the teams except for the evil empire known as the Spurs!

  • YES!

(but Monday's loss was heartbreaking -- facing Detroit will be much worse than facing Orlando)

6,7, and 8 seeds are dangerous.....on paper LA, SAS, and NO is supposed to win.....but ofcourse in the playoffs anything can happen.

The thing that worries me still is that the only real go-to-guy in LA is Kobe. Plus, LA relies HEAVILY on jumpshots. This is a bad sign heading into the playoffs, when experience really is a factor in whether or not, jumpshots fall.

Inexperienced playas get nervous, they might not wanna take that big shot or their knees get shaky. They're #1 in the West, but the #2 youngest team in the L. I have my worries.....

CAN NOT WAIT....I'M GONNA HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF MY STUDIES AHEAD OF TIME...............

  • Oh yeah its gonna be a slug fest in the west and the Wizards are gonna give people fits out east..

This series should be a doozy. Get ready for a ton of flopping, grabbing and weird celebrity based officiating.

HONESTLY, AS A MAV'S FAN I BELIEVE WE'RE IN THE BEST POSSIBLE SEED.

I EXPECT THEM TO BE IN THE WEST FINALS!!!

    Really?

Shaq stops Duncan, period, end of story. Add Skinner? FUGGETABOUTIT.

Amare is gonna take it to the rack. This schitt is over already.

I'm not even going to try to weigh floppy Manu, dirty Bowen and Casper and Co. vs Diaw, Barbosa, Raja, Grant Hill, etc.

Suns > Spurs. 3-1, even before Shaq. Deal.

    Suns > Spurs. 3-1, DEALT

D'antoni is probably even gonna play Sean Marks against Timmy, that's how laughable it's gonna be.

D'Antoni needs to shave off that ugly ass Stache.

Suns > Spurs. 3-1, even before Shaq. Deal.

    1) Suns still don't have defense.

    2) Suns haven't played Spurs with all their players since they picked up Shaq.

    3) Regular season doesn't mean shit anyway. How many times have I heard people discount the Spurs due to regular season performance just to see us take home the title?

    4) Spurs have home court advantage.

    5) All the teams have their strong points. The Suns are really good at fast paced full court offense. The Spurs on the other hand are really good at winning championships. It's a strong point.

I think it's going to be an exciting series that'll probably go to 6 or 7. Shaq knows how to play against Duncan and that's the only reason the Suns have any shot whatsoever. But he's not the same player he was half a decade ago.

I'm gonna say Spurs in 7.

    I don't care.

Nash is gonna get his nose busted again.

Diaw is gonna sprain his ankle going to the rack all awkwardly.

Stoudamire is gonna roam around freely, now that Bynum is out.

Shaq is gonna wish he didn't leave Miami.

I assume you are basing this on the one Mavs-centric comment in this thread?
