i've recently been on a kool kieth jag listening to the ultra albums,octagon,big willie,sex style etc. i haven't listened to any of his stuff past octagon i think, and since he's put out a bazillion albums i want to know which ones are worth Frickin' with.

ummmm try Ultramagnetic MCs - Critical Beatdown.... Dr Octagon is good... Matthew had a couple of great tracks on it from memory...
black elvis had some moments when I was 8 years dumber
dr doom also had some fun parts but I haven't given that a spin since drunk house parties in 1999
for sure cop critical beatdown though
post octagon stuff has some tiny moments here and there. oh yeah, his global enlightenment DVD is pretty amusing. worth a netflix rental
I remember hearing an album a couple of years ago that he did with a sample based producer that I had never heard before that sounded pretty tight, anyone have an idea what that was?

ClayBorne Family is real good.
Stay away from the Lost Masters stuff unless your a Head like me.
I havent heard The Commishioner stuff and Project Polaroid is alright.
The "bronx baybridge" (not sure that's the right title?) is pure ultras worth getting the lp for that track alone. Although it did come out on a 12" too...
Like other people have mentioned the cenobites is essential.

That album is hilarious. If you are looking for
slamming beats and insightful rhyming, then, no,
this album won't do it for you - but if you want
the twisted KK humor and wordplay at it's best,
then Dr. DOOOM is worth owning.

yeah, I didn't mean to say that because it's
hilarious, it's devoid of content. It's probably
more heavy on social content than most of his stuff
from that era, but in a way that's making you laugh
too hard to really have a C&C Music Factory moment.
