I used to pick up Mountain, Johnny Jenkins, Bloomfield Super Sessions, Bob James, Joe Farrell etc.... everytime I see them and pass them on to a friend or whatever, but lately I just don't have it in me to by an LP that has a classic break when I see it in "the crates (tm)".
Do you all pass up breaks or feel compelled to buy them?
I can't even give that shit away these days. So I pass.
Johnny Jenkins has never been an easy record to find, at least not in this part of the world... dudes wouldn't even have a chance to pick it up as a 'breaks' record (cuz those guys don't spend $15-20 on a record around here)
VG- classic/common soul/jazz break records still sell for $5 all day erryday here though...
HMMM depends i tend to leave shit all the time. unless its really cheap and i could pass it off but ive never seen a jenkins lp in my neck of the woods!!! but i leave that renee geyer shit...
This thread was haunting me as I made my frist trip to the record store in about a month or so last night. There were breaks everywhere, stacked up next to one another as if some crate digger had been in before me to set it all up. Breaks galore, and I left every one of them.

Isn't that record on the highly collectible and virtually unknown CTI label?
LOL

Maybe Something like "blah blah blah....so blah, here is my tongue"
I actually really dig this as an album - I've never viewed it as braek fodder
