Who Rocks a Flask?

Are flasks outdated? I don't know, and I can think of many situations to use one. Like my kid has a basketball game on Sunday, I'm thinknig about taking one. Is that a bad look? I feel like I always need one at a school function. Why don't they serve alcohol at school functions where parents attend? In my school all throughout growing up there would be a cash bar for parents. Last year, when I got off work on a Friday night and went to pick up my daughter I was informed that it was the international night fundraiser/fair. Of course I had to go, so we walked in, I asked for the bar, and they looked at me like I was an alien. I'm not trying to get smashed or anything, but after work on a Friday night I like a drink or two, nothing wrong with that.Other situatuions and places to rock a flask:FuneralsAt any sporting event, especially NCAAConcertsBars you know will be packed where only one bar tender is working, or if you're cheapBefore the liquid ban, flasks at the airport where a mustReligious events that are longer than an hourMuseumsPicnicsFishing/HuntingWhile a passenger in a car or if you're stuck in trafficPlaese to add on and speak on anything flask related.

The only thing about a train/bus/plane is that other people who aren't dirnking who are sitting nearby are going to smell you and it will smell disgusting to them, like when a wino gets on the bus at 8AM.
Gross.
I also had to bring one to a club gig once because they wanted to charge DJs full price for drinks.
It's a useful thing to have. I lost my little funnel and it's mess to fill up.
I don't really take it anywhere other than movies, bars, parties and clubs they don't search at. More for after last call than anything.
Larry, is the 5th you are talking about the glass flasks they sell at the liquor stores with the liquor label on them? If so, buy at least two for a five hour trip. Take that shit on the train, you'll be happy you did.
Reminds me, those glass flasks they sell at the store, and now they have plastic ones too, are perfect to pass through the metal detector. You feel a little cheap but fuck it. Also, fuck a pat down at Yankee stadium and MSG, you can only get away with flasks at minor league parks around here now.
dude, funnels are cheap.
Yeah, I was thinking glass flask bottle. If I am sitting next to someone who doesn't seem down I will hold off but I think a bottle of chivas will do me right.
Maybe if you offer to share they won't be offended. Better get two.
If they have a glass I will share, but I am not going to catch mouth herpes from some hobo.
even though i hardly ever mess with spirits, i kinda want one now. it seems like a good idea for bars that are packed and impossible to get a drink at and i am a cheap ass when it comes to drinks. unless i'm at a restaurant that has great beer.
people who own flasks, how the hell do you clean it?
Soak in lightly soaped water for about an hour, rinse thoroughly. Or so I've heard.
Ha! I definitely like the look of a half-pint in the pocket. You can also rock and roll break it when you're done.
I think it's a real classy old head look in moderation, but the temptation to abuse is trouble for a lush like me.
hot water and a tiny bit of soap, but rinse well! very hot water should do it though.
following me again?
I also found that my plastic water container fits perfectly a bottle of wine, so I have been using that with some paper cups for firework shows and stuff. Real classy!
lol - the plastic bottle works well for vodka, not so well for bourbon!
Haha how the hell do you carry that? That reminds me of my drivers ed teacher who would rock booze in his thermos.
I have one but I almost never use it. I used to take it to the movies and concerts, but this thread is making me realize I can get drunk pretty much anywhere.
