Right now....on 1310 The Ticket radio station in Dallas they are announcing...KOBE BRYANT IS A DALLAS MAVERICK!!!!I don't believe it but that's what they're saying..No details yet.
I'm not believing it either......just got a call from a buddy who is driving home and the local station is saying it's going down....they presented it as fact as opposed to rumor but until I see details I'm going to remain a non-believer.
And if it's true.......I'll have to re-examine my current fandom model!!
I'm on IM w/ a friend saying they are trying to get more details on AM 570 in LA. He's also saying that if Jason Terry ends up in LA, it will make him want to kill himself.
Eh. Kobe to the East would have been a lot more interesting, but whatever. I'd be very interested to know what they got for him, because that could be everything. If it's true though, congrats to Dallas. You guys surely needed something to get you over the hump. Maybe we'll see you raise up in this post-season. I couldn't think of a better way to ensure better progress than getting Kobe Bryant on your team.

Don't think it's true--nothing about it anywhere reputable online, and apparently LA radio is now disclaiming it.
I actually think this would be a more interesting trade than any potential destination in the East, because it would result in the Mavs becoming a championship contender (yes, I said "becoming," you little dudes), whereas there's no way Kobe + a rapidly aging Ben Wallace are contending for anything once the Bulls have been gutted per the various deals that were being bandied about.

DALLAS SWAG REJUVENATED???
I'd be more interested to see (if it's true) who the Mavs had to part with.
listening to ESPN radio, and just checked their website as well as Sportisillustrated.com and see nothing yet

I am tuning into sports radio as soon as I get out on the road.
ESPN report said that it was either Chicago or Dallas, but DAMN. If this shit is confirmed.
