MPC 2000xl to 500 switch

I'm just about fed up with zip disks messing up all the time, and scsi is just as risky. All I could probably afford would be the 500 right now. So anybody have a 500 and could give me a little insight into it. -n

    I've read on some forums that it is possible to upgrade the zip drive system to a MCD (multi card drive), there is still no usb, but worth the switch if you can handle the surgery.

    i just put the mcd in mine..took 10 mins. 500 ha.

    co-sign. you'd be crazy to go from the xl to 500 for that reason when you can buy a multi card drive for peanuts. maybe check out amtron.com, thats where i got mine.

    they have a bunch of accessories for the 2000.
    I just upgraded and put a hard drive in my 1000. 70 gigs of free space!!!!
