there`s lots of really killer classic brakes, but "impeach the president" is just so perfect, i mean, u can chop up everything from it - bassdrum, snare, hihat (SICK one!) whilst apache or funky drummer are just strong when u play them in the original way.. at least imho.
Dear Jebus, yes. I'm embarrassed I didn't mention this in the first place.
same here. i even thought of it and wondered why nobody else had mentioned it.
now for the real question. The obvious Bill Withers original or the Cold Blood version?
I like the Cold Blood one quite a bit, but the Bill Withers one is damn near perfection. Gadson was on that one--and his timing is so steady, it's almost like the whole shit was quantized.
Think John Book first dropped this one on the Crates list within days of Shadow's LP release. Awesome, monstorous, like some kind of winged dragon coming down to land. < sounds silly until you hear the break.
As a jungle fan, I'll always have a soft spot for Amen. The Amen. Mirsolav Vitous has a nice one that's an easy find. POZ is over-rated imho when you can use the sound-alike Titanic break for less money. I have some ones that'll use one day, and they might make some of your lists.

Redevils and Plus being my favorites. The whole Plus LP is crazy. I LOVE it. Where do you get all those records?
I just noticed that I don't know much about breaks.
I don't even know all of the titels that have been mentioned by other people.
you're right, the bands name is Red Devils, but the picture on the front cover says Redevils.
no love for the al jarreau version?
Yes, you got what I want, you know what I need...
