    I'm about to deal with about 6 months of stress....literally walking out the door in 5 minutes for a week of fishing, digging and relaxing at the below cabin.

    See ya next week.

    What I'm saying is that certain meds(like zanax) are waaaay over prescribed.You can't deny that.

    Yes you can. There are more diagnosis of anxiety disorders then there are prescriptions. That's not the issue though. The real issue is effectiveness.

    IMO, possibly oversensitive...You two seemed to be saying, 'sack up'. i never read a disclaimer of, 'don't worry, if you actually have it'. That lack of a distinction, coming from both of your vastly educated medical backgrounds on the subject, got my hackles up.

    But, i digress. I got work to do...if this fucking jackass ever gets his lazy ass in. 11:35, and no editor. ICEMOFUCKINGRILL. (that is my true asshurt right now.)

    I can't; insurance won't pay for Zanex.

    but seriously folks, suing big pharma is what sabadabada is all about.

  • I'm struggling to think of a medical use for Viagra, but that's another story.

    If health insurance covers Viagra becuase guys have trouble having sex, then it should also cover prostitutes.

    OK. Have what? I remember your ear situation. But if you're talking about having an anxiety disorder now, then give me your ICD or DSM code(s) and I'll tell you what works best. There is no medicine for asshurtitosis.

    DO NOT TET MY PSI CHI, SON.

    Understand confusion.

    ear problems->vertigo

    vertigo->anxiety issues

    Then, I had two problems to deal with. I took Celexa for about 9 months, with behavioral therapy to deal with the anxiety, with the understanding that I would also deal with the ears. which i did.

    anxiety and ears= much better.

    As you know, Celexa is very different from Xanax. It is an SSRI and has almost no abuse potential, but does have many negative side effects. I think SSRIs have some utility in combination with behavioral therapy--mostly at the initial stages of treatment. But as the behavioral therapy progresses, it is best to taper of the SSRI. I'm glad to hear things are better for you. You said, "took" so I'm assuming you're off the SSRI. That's great.

    Yes, the plan was to taper as the Behavioral therapy progressed, and it worked according to plan. I'm off the Celexa.

    Celexa was surprisingly side effect free for me, but I did a lot of research and had some good, young, and pretty hands on help from the docs.

    My point in defending Xanax (yes, more of an episodic anti-anxiety medication) was just to defend the reality of anxiety disorders.

    I only believe there are a few good uses for benzodiazepines. Mostly preparation for surgery, during inpatient ETOH detoxification and during severe panic attacks.

    BACK TO THE ISSUE..

    No I come to find out that they didn;t flag me for the zanax.. During my physical my doctor asked how I felt.. I said fine.. a little tired but I have been working a lot lately.. she put that in the record and the insurance people think it might be chronic fatigue... and now.. when I HAVE to provide them with all my medical history.. they can pretty much take anything I have ever been prescribed medicine for and say "WE AIN"T GONNA COVER YOU" This personal insurance business is such a fucking joke...
