Does anyone know the difference between the Creator Slide to the Side mix Vs. Surfboard?
The opening drums sound different, or maybe just more prominent on the Surfboard mix and the vocals seem to stick out more on the Slide mix.
They sound almost the same though but still slightly different, what was the reasoning? Was this a common practice when making remixes?
Just Curious if anyone could enlighten me.
In this era, alot of remixes were simply just that re mixes...The mix down might have the drums or vocal mixed different...Also, it was very common to switch the drums on a remix...You might have a "in the trunk mix" with different heavier drums or whatever, Remixes with a totally different beat became more common later on...
Awww well thats a shame, he is nice, but did not know he was on that type of shit. I mean over the years I sold him a bunch of nyc indie titles so i got his loot thats for sure. He once offered me $500 or more for a mid 90s joint out of my personal stash and I basically told him no. I know one track he will do just about anything for is the Verbal Hoodz Ill Be Damned track off 5 deadly venoms mix... you get that for him, and you'll be his new best friend.
its alkutt who is keeping the title for himself hm the title gots to be something with "rotten apple"..maybe an "all star" jam of some sort ?
The only cut i can remember called rotten apple was the royal flush jam, but yeah it's def a "crew" joint I just cant remember whos record it was, like the mop top forever verbal assault. If nobody else knows it i'll let you know when it surfaces in my brain one of these days.
I never moved one of these PWS for under $75 always highly indemand.
We gon shinnnnnnne BIGTIME! this thread has me wishing that I did not sell off a ton of my indie 12s, but the market was crazy hot and moved so many that i'd never even touch and just let sit in storage. Hopefully all those euro and far east guys will put em to good use.
I have a question,is anyone familiar with this LL Cool J song where he's talking about packing blue steel? i remember hearing this on a Mister Cee mixtape it was around the time when he had the "No Airplay" song just before the album dropped.
Alright i found some info on wikipedia it lists track titles for a unreleased version of the album http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Smith_%28album%29 I think the song i'm looking for is "New York Mentality" Who has it for me?
